Different Ironworker locals across Canada represent a variety of skilled trades and subspecialties, depending on the demands of the local marketplace.

On this site, by filling our just ONE form, you can apply to ANY OR ALL of our locals if you have skills (or seek an apprenticeship) in the following trades or specialties:

Structural Ironwork
Reinforcing Ironwork (Rebar)
Machinery Rigging
Shipyard Rigging
Welding
Curtain Wall erection
Pre-Cast erection
Metal Building erection
Ornamental Ironwork
Wind Turbine erection

As we said before, in some Canadian regions, our employers are busy in highly active growth economies. In others, demand may be somewhat lower, but we’re always needing to replace retiring members. And many Locals will train you so you can travel elsewhere in the country to work where there is greater demand.

If you want to pursue a career in one of our trades, please say you're interested.
